Visitor stats for WordPress
Posted at 10:59:02 am by hari under Software and Technology (550 views)
I've just found a visitor stats plugin for WordPress. It's called Quick Stats and it can be found here. It shows fairly up-to-date statistics and it appears to be quite light-weight as well. I thought I would share it here because it's quite a handy, easy-to-install stats tool for those who don't have Cpanel or Awstats installed on their server.
Although it's not extremely detailed and doesn't show pretty graphs or track history, it's quite adequate for people who just want to know where their visitors are coming from on a day-to-day basis as technorati or google are not always up-to-date with backlinks.

I use sitemeter.com and also statcounter.com as well as google analytics in my blogger blog. All these must work for wordpress also if I'm not wrong

Shri, I don't like to use third party sites to track my web stats. This plugin is completely self-contained.

Right now, I'm using Clicky to see the real time clicks, and Google Analytics for the big picture. But I've bookmarked this so that I can go back and install it if I wish. 3rd party services aren't always the best and I'll be checking them all out again very soon.

I've not tried Google analytics yet. Never had faith in anything other than awstats.
